Raney nickel is versatile hydrogenation catalyst which is widely used in laboratory and industrial hydrogenation processes of large number of functional groups notable among them being Carbon - Carbon double bond, Carbonyl(aldehydic and ketonic), Nitro, Azide, Nitrile, Oxime groups. Raney Nickel Catalyst is used in foods, pharmaceuticals, aromatic, petrochemicals, sorbitol, rubber additives, dyes & drugsintermediates, pesticide intermediates, Caprolactum, fine organic chemicals industries for various reactions like hydrogenation. It can be used in batch as well as in continuous hydrogenation process. Traditionally catalyst recovery has been done by plate and frame or pressure leaf filters. These conventional filters have some limitations and disadvantages. Nano-Mags filtration technology utilizes sintered metal filter elements and provides superior performance over traditional filters.These filters are specifically designed for catalyst recovery processes with high specific gravity solids such as Raney nickel.Our filters are capable to handle high flow rates and solids capacities as per the requirement. Nano-Mag standard filter elements are manufactured entirely of 316L stainless steel. We offer other alloys for severe process conditions. These filters are fitted with GKN make sintered metallic candles. These candles or filter media, with their tightly controlled pore size, offer exceptional particle removal efficiency.The systems are totally automatic, and continue to provide a high degree of reliable high efficiency particle separation. The tightly controlled pore size and backwash operation of these filters enable long operating time between cleanings.
